SIKKIM MANDARIN ORANGE
Orange production in Sikkim have undergone drastic reduction in recent years due to the Greening disease, a worldwide phenomenon. With this as a backdrop, SF started the project with the objective of:-
- Promotion and development of Sikkim Mandarin
- Budding and grafting program
- Monitoring of citrus germplasm plantation area
- Extension of services to local farmers.
- Identification of citrus germplasm area
- Developing disease free saplings for orange growers
