EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS

• Mr. Keshab C Pradhan – Chairman

Former Chief Secretary to the Government of Sikkim.  Over his thirty years service with the Government he has worked in several departments, many in the capacity of a Secretary.  He holds Master of Forestry Degree from Yale University USA.  Currently he is the President of the Sikkim Nature Conservation Foundation, President of J D Hooker Chapter, American Rhododendron Society (ARS). He is also the Gold Medal and Pioneer Achievement  Awardee of ARS.

• Mr. S. Wangdi - Vice Chairman

He is the proprietor of Sikkim World Expedition; a travel agent based in Gangtok Sikkim, and is actively involved in promoting Eco tourism.  He is also a trustee of Human Development Foundation of Sikkim, a charity trust.

• Mr. Karma Takapa 

Karma is a founder member of "Green Circle", an environment group in Sikkim. He is also one of the founder member of the Travel Agents Association of Sikkim (TAAS). Proprietor of Yuksom Tours & Treks, he has been and executive member TAASand is actively involved in promoting responsible tourism in Sikkim. Karma is a B Com graduate from Delhi University.

• Mr. Loday Chungyalpa

He completed his MBA Degree from USC, California, USA in 1978.  He has over seventeen years senior management experience with leading companies in Australia.  He also served as Planning Officer with the Government of Sikkim from 1980-81. Loday is actively involved in educational iprovement initiative in the State.

• Mr. Namgyal P Sherpa

Has been involved with tourism, especially with mountain adventure tourism since 1971.  He is the proprietor of Namgyal Treks and Tours based in Gangtok, Sikkim.  He is actively involved in promoting responsible tourism in Sikkim.

• Ms. Devika Sharma - Treasurer
  

Received her M.Sc. Degree in Urban Environmental Management and Development Planning from the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok.  She also received her Diploma in Urban Planning, jointly from the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok and the Asia Pacific Center, Fukuoka, Japan.  She is currently working for the Government of Sikkim and is involved in the urban development of the State.

• Mr. Ganden Lachungpa - Secretary
  

Ganden received his MA Degree from the University of Bombay.  He is the proprietor of Atlas Manufacturing Company Pvt. Ltd., a company engaged in the manufacture of  camping and trekking related equipment and accessories.  He is a member of The Association of Small Scale Industries and Travel Agents Association of Sikkim (TAAS).

• Mr. Bhaskar R Pradhan

Received his BA(Hons) and LL.B. Degrees from Bombay University. He has over seven years experience practicing in the Supreme Court of India.  Currently based in Gangtok, Sikkim where he practices his legal profession as Advocate in the High Court.

• Mrs. Wendy Pulger

Received her MA Degree in International Development Education from Stanford University, California, USA.  She has over twenty years experience in education, business management and marketing.  She also served as Assistant Director with the Education Department, Government of Sikkim  from 1980-81.

• Mr. Kailash Pradhan - Director

He received his B.Arch. Degree from (CEPT) Ahmedabad.  He has over five years experience working with reputable national and international architect firms.  He currently runs his own practice.  He is also a Founder Member of Green Circle an environmental group in Sikkim.

• Dr. Jyoti P Tamang

A word on our organizational structure

As is evident from the above composition of our members, we belong to different backgrounds pursuing different careers in our individual life. Our binding together originates from the social concerns we share we share with each other.

While the above hierarchy works for official purposes, at SF, everyone functions as everyone. Decisions are taken collectively and swiftly. Individual discretion are respected and followed by everyone. Everyone reports to everyone. Complete transparency is a second nature at SF.
